    3. Hi Nelson, The Montgomery County Poorhouse was located on what is now Route 5 (I believe it is the town of Palatine) where the Mohawk Indian community now lives (It used to be Montgomery Manor). We have recently found some records for the poorhouse in our archives when we were doing an inventory. When someone died while residing there, I believe they were buried near there. Just west of the Mohawk community is a cemetery, but I am not sure if that was a part of the poorhouse or not. If you make it back to our department again, you are welcome to look at the records -- I hope to get them transcribed at some point to put on the shelves. Kelly Yacobucci Montgomery Co.
