    1. Re: [NYMONTGO] Andrew McNitt.
    2. I'm helping a "cousin" determin why a daughter was living with another family. It might prove to be worthwhile and then it could not. But every bit of information helps. This could clarify a connection because we have an Andrew McNutt and he married and lived with ancestors of mine. I do not have McNutt , but one of my cousins has this name. I hope to help her solve her problem amd connection. I might also add that this particular Andrew McNutt was from Montgomery Co. and he went into St. Lawrence Co. NY and lived in the area where Appel/Apple, Watson, Krack, and Sitts were living and all are Montgomery or Tryon Co. Residents. Pat

    1. Re: Re: [NYMONTGO] Andrew McNitt.
    2. Thanks for your email. There were two Andrew McNitt/McNutt/McKnights. I lived in Montgomery County, in Northville, (now in Fulton County), and the other born in Palmer, Hamshire County MA, Now Hampden County, MA. My Andrew I believe was son of Alexander McNitt, and after his marriage to Abigail HArmon of New Marlborough, Berkshire County, Ma, they lived there for a time. I believe that they moved after the Revolution, to Montgomery County NY, but most of his brothers lived in Washington County, NY in Salem, in 1790-1800-1810. I have no knowledge of Millers connected with him, but anything is possible. His second wife was named Esther, and she was a widow when they married, and had a daughter still at home. Andrew McNitts/McNutt's offspring moved to Ontario County, NY, and later to Lake County/Geauga County Ohio. They intermarried with Thompsons, Bushnells, etc. Thanks for your interest. Dorothy

    2. Hi! I have a "cousin" who has an association with the name McNutt and his name was Andrew. Do you think that Andrew McNutt and Andrew McNitt are 1 and the same. It appears they both came from Montgomery Co. and they both fought in the Rev. War. Also, Do you find any association with the name Miller? Pat
