It is located on Lafayette ST.(Route 10) on the east side, just behind Dutchtown Plaza. I think this is the cemetery you want -- I used to live just down from there when I was a child. 2. Cliff Lamere
    3. Susan Mulvey's transcription of the 1757-1767 Noble Town Proprietors Meetings is now located on my website under "Other Lists of People". http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/ It makes for interesting reading. I have summarized the contents at the beginning of the webpage. Noble Town was in the present-day Columbia Co. of NY. It was the subject of a border conflict, since Massachusetts also claimed the land. Cliff

    2. Cliff Lamere
    3. I have just posted 46 tombstone records from the Eagle Hill Cemetery (St. Pauls's Cemetery) in Albany. It is primarily a German cemetery. The records were transcribed by Bill and Mary Ann Hildebrand on a trip to Albany about a week ago. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/ Look for "Vital Records - Deaths." It will be the first entry in that category. The next entry is for the same cemetery, but it is described as St. Paul's Cemetery. Cliff

    1. [NYMONTGO] James JOHNSON
    2. Thomas Johnston, Jr.
    3. Seeking any information on the shadowy James JOHNSON, born about 1740- 1742 in New York, probably in Mohawk Valley but possibly along the Hudson River. He is alleged to have been related to Sir William JOHNSON, British Superintendent of Indian Affairs, although that has not been conclusively demonstrated. He fought on the American side in the Revolution, initially in the Dutchess County Militia under Jacobus Swartwout. James had at least one son, named Thomas (b. circa 1762, d. Fulton Cty., NY, 1854). James' death date and name of wife unknown. Known descendants have lived in NY, IL, PA and perhaps OH. Tom Johnston thomas.johnston@worldnet.att.net

    2. Thomas Johnston, Jr.
    3. Am looking for information on the early life of Thomas JOHNSON, born in 1805 in New York state, probably in the general vicinity of Albany but perhaps further west along the Mohawk River. He had a younger brother Nehemiah, about whom little is known. Thomas married Almira Stall, supposedly born in Fairfield, Herkimer County, and they settled in Ephratah, Montgomery County (later Fulton County). Shortly after the death of his father (also named Thomas) in 1854, he and Almira plus most of their several children moved to Illinois Tom Johnston thomas.johnston@worldnet.att.net

    1. [NYMONTGO] HELP! A trade? . . . THORP of Montgomery Co., NY
    2. Mark Wentling
    3. Hi folks, I live in Washington, D.C. and will "trade" look-ups at the National Archives in exchange for someone looking up these materials for me. I will also reimburse for copies and postage, etc. I wish to obtain the obituary (if there was one) of Abner THORP, who died 8 July 1871, age 105, in the Town of Charleston, Montgomery County, New York. He was a member of the Charleston Baptist Church and is buried in that churchyard. Is it possible to get a look-up or copies of his will or administration papers? Also, seeking the obituary of Ebenezer THORP, a deacon, (perhaps at the same church), who died 9 August 1860. He spent his early years in Charleston, subsequently helped settled the nearly Town of Root (specifically Rural Grove), and returned to Charleston in his old age (by 1860) where he died. He is buried in Rural Grove Cemetery. I am trying to determine whether Ebenezer was a son of Abner THORP. Ebenezer was the forefather of the Thorps that populated Little Falls, Herkimer County, New York from 1875-1980-ish. Thank you!, Mark A. Wentling http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~legends/welcome.html

    3. Is anyone researching the following: Victor J. STAURING, b. abt 1875, d. 5 Nov 1930 Flora May NORTH, b. 1875 in Hallsville, Montgomery Co., NY, d. 20 Oct. 1904 Maud H. SEYMOUR/BOWMAN, d. 13 May 1931 Victor was married first to Flora and then to Maud. As I do not have all the birthdates for the children of the above, I am trying to figure out which children go to which parents. Also, it seems that Maud was married before and some of the children might be from her previous marriage. If anyone is researching this line I would love to converse with you.
