Backus and Eva A. Davis about 1883. They had Lena May Backus born 1884 in Auburn, New York, Ethel Alberta Backus born 1886 in Picton, Ontario, and Arthur Eugene Backus born 1888 in Picton, Ontario. Ethel Alberta Backus married Thomas Paul Skeels on August 15th 1906 and they were living in Rochester, New York at the time of her brother Arthur Eugene's death in 1939. John A. Backus' 1931 obituary lists only his second wife and two daughters from that marriage, Mrs. Florence Trufant of Syracuse and Mrs. Doris Sims of Rochester. I'm hoping someone in the area will see the list of names and recognize something. Any information would be appreciated.
