There are several Joseph White's in the newspaper index: http://www.libraryweb.org/~digitized/newsindex/1851-1897/Index67WHI-WOO.pdf, including one who dies in 1866. But as far as the marriage record, that's a toughie. Try the Brighton historian: Mary Jo Lanphear, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618, (585) 784-5238, [email protected] (The historians are nearly all part time, so it may take a while fora response, but she is very good indeed). The 1860 county gazetteer lists but one church in town (a Congregationalist) but since Brighton is a border town to Rochester they may have gotten married in the city.
