    3. There's nothing like humble pie. A slice or two of it every so often keeps one in perspective. Previously I reported the addition to Chenango County of: Fairview Cemetery - Town of New Berlin - New Berlin Riverside Cemetery - Town of New Berlin - South New Berlin http://www.rootsweb.com/~nychenan/cemetery.htm =================================================== To my surprise / dismay? I found out that what was reported as Fairview Cemetery was in fact Greenwood Cemetery, located in the northern end of the Village of New Berlin. Fairview is more centrally located and is situated beside St. Andrews Cemetery. There is a listing of Fairview (really) in the works. While there is a listing of Greenwood on-line already, I believe that it was from a DAR listing a number of years ago. This new list is from village records. ==================================================== Additionally, this morning I've uploaded several more pages of the Sherburne Centennial booklet - bringing the on-line total to 61 pages of the 111 page total. This new section entitled Historical address is chock full of names giving many family names origins to this and other areas. It along with the beginning of the book provide a lot more depth than any other work previously added to the site for the Sherburne area. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nychenan/shr100t.htm From what I've seen of the remainder of the booklet, it too is chock full of history and names. While I doubt I'll get the remainder on this year, I do hope to get another section or two done. ===================================================== As for Cortland and Madison counties I plan to continue in 2005 providing more records, book accounts of the history and peoples of those regions. I have at hand many contributions from many a fine visitor, which I am working through. Additionally in 2005 I will be working to develop a site for a couple of more central New York counties based on requests to do so by visitors to these three sites. While I have much on my plate, I do enjoy the variety so much as I offer comment, lend a hand to others as they seek their family history. Thank you all for that privilege.
