At RootsWeb, Santa Claus was born in West Virginia, in 1847, but that was an alias for a guy named Joseph Stepp, and when I went over to LDS, I learned that Santa Claus wasn't born until Jan 1944, which would have him at about ten and a half years old when I was born, and that happened in Illinois... I used to live in West Virginia and the closest I got to Santa Claus was that time I think I saw Charles Manson's father rolled up in a fetal position by the side of the road, singing Christmas carols in July. As for Illinois, all I can remember is two Scooby Doo types trying to run me off the road in a bread truck while I was motorcycling cross country...
