Do you believe there really is a Santa Claus? Well, you should. I'll tell you why. Santa and Mrs. Claus lived a long, long time ago, at the North Pole, as you know. They loved children very much, and had many, many children. And those children had many, many, many children. And those children had many, many, many children, and so on through the ages of time. And now, in our own time, we are all descended from Santa and Mrs. Claus, as you all well know from doing family history. So, if you want to see Santa Claus, just go look in the mirror. Loo Courtland....Happy Yule to you all.
Somebody has been canning bad sauerkraut in Albequerque, Loo. I went to RootsWeb AND to LDS and the information is conflicting. At RootsWeb, Santa Claus was born in West Virginia, in 1847, but that was an alias for a guy named Joseph Stepp, and when I went over to LDS, I learned that Santa Claus wasn't born until Jan 1944, which would have him at about ten and a half years old when I was born, and that happened in Illinois... I used to live in West Virginia and the closest I got to Santa Claus was that time I think I saw Charles Manson's father rolled up in a fetal position by the side of the road, singing Christmas carols in July. As for Illinois, all I can remember is two Scooby Doo types trying to run me off the road in a bread truck while I was motorcycling cross country... Come to think of it, I think I may have seen Santa Claus in person once, handing out incense at a Grateful Dead concert, chanting Harry Kirshner Harry Kirshner Harry Harry Kirshner... I'll be sure to send you some information right out, regarding your family... I'm sure I can get a very interesting overview together for you... Merry Christmas Loo __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
Well now . . . Santa Claus. In his "off time," Santa Claus dwells here in Getzville, NY. When I give my son's pal a lift home after school, Claus is always parked on a guard rail by a small creek in a housing development waving at the cars as they go by. He stills smokes that small curved pipe just like in the book but he's lost a few lbs. And he still has a way with animals because he is accompanied by a lovely little white dog. The little dog probably reminds him of snow. I haven't seen Santa for a couple of wks. now, but that makes sense, doesn't it? Herma
