the Ellis name is not in my family but I thought this might be of interest to anyone who has Lydia Ellis of Cazenovia, in their line Madison County Land Record Vol 95 pg 275 April 7 1863 tells where Lydia Ellis sells land to Benjamin hatch. In the body of the paper is mention that Lydia Ellis was abandoned by her husband, Oscar A. Ellis willfully abandoned here more than five years before and is now living with another woman in the state of Pennsylvania Bob Coomber Rochester
