Hello to all Well... I want you all to be the first to know the address to a new page I have just put up. I haven't revamped my main index yet, so you won't find this important item there yet. It's the obituary of L. M. Hammond, from the Madison County Leader and Observer, and I believe (to the best of my ability) that it comes from the June 25, 1914 edition. The reason I am not sure is because the clipping did not include the newspaper's full heading. After a little researching, with what I had to work with, I am quite sure that the source is correct, for anyone interested. Since this page is comprised of 3 scanned images, it may take some time to load. If you have any problems with the page, please let me know, and I do plan to transcribe the article in the future. http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~ameralia/luna/index.htm Hope this finds you well and in the best of spirits, John
Thanks for posting this. I never put two and two together before until I read this obit, but I am related to this lady. I knew of her before through a couple of her books that I own, the Madison County History and Diary of an Orphan Girl. This will spur me to update her branch of the family.
