Hi Sue I'm related to Stewarts too, through Beckwiths, Isbells and Sextons. In my line, the Stewart surname was a "corruption" of Steward... I do have another Stewart entry from another cemetery - possibly the Augusta (Oneida) - but I can't remember who that man was and it will be awhile before my boss (wears a skirt sometimes, etc...) and I get all those pictures straightened out - I will get back to you on it, though. William Steward is my earliest ancestor at the moment, born probably near New London, CT about 1734 - sons; Ethol 1769, and Asahel 1773 - both probably born in New London.
