Hi all - just picked up on this "Cameron" name search - our family, the Frasers, were interrelated to the Camerons in Nova Scotia. You may find some names you are looking for in early ship records (sorry, lost my entire "bookmarks" file for the web pages). They are Scottish, not French (unless you go back about 1000 years). I found a great site for ship records from Scotland c. 1800 - can't tell you where that is - but you may start by looking into Nova Scotia early records. Carol
