There was a Rachel Beeman who married Richard Lower in the Town of Sullivan, Madison County NY and I believe she may have had a brother named Marcus. Anyway, Rachel & Richard moved to Racine Wisc back in the 1800's, but some of their family (the Lower side anyway), settled in Michigan. There was also Sullivan Lower and Madison Lower in their family. Maybe yours connect with them somehow! Good Luck in Your Search, Carol P.S. I still live in the Town of Sullivan and was at the home of one of the life-time Beeman's tonight!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beth Comstock" <bethsroots@verizon.net> To: <NYMADISO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 28, 2005 4:09 PM Subject: [NYMADISO] Beeman - Clark - French > Hi there, > > Wondering if anyone might know anything about this family. I am trying to find a Sylvia Ann Beeman. She was born about 1837 in New York and died March 18, 1910 in LaSalle, Monroe Co., Michigan. She was married to Joseph Clark. He was born October 1828 in New York and died March 1, 1877 in LaSalle, Monroe Co., Michigan. > > I have Joseph's parents as William Stymson Clark & Mary Jane French. I am hoping to find out anything on any of these people. I don't know who Sylvia parent's are and have another Beeman line from Madison Co. I would like to tie together. the other line I have is Sylvia & Joseph's daughter Signora married Marcus Melzo Beeman, son of James Beeman & Caroline Case from Sullivan, Madison Co., New York. I can't seem to find anything on Sylvia about her parents yet. > > Sylvia & Joseph's children are Edward, Robert, Signora, Minerva, Charles, Almina, Sarah Addie, Katie and Lottie. > I have these names from census'. I have them in LaSalle married in 1860 and am trying to find them in New York. Hi there, Thank you for the info. I don't have a Rachel in this family as of yet anyway. This has been an elusive family. My ancestor was the only brother from the family of Beeman's there that moved away. He came to Michigan and raised his family there and only went back to NY once I guess. I have been searching for info. on them for years. My grandmother's Father was a Beeman and he died very young, my grandma was on 8 yrs. old. So his wife remarried and then the family never knew anything about the Beeman's. What a treat to see the Beeman's there. I would love to hear from them if any of them have email or would like to snail mail. I would like to share with them. My James Beeman was married to Caroline Case, their son Franklin was my gr-gr-grandfather and the one that moved to Michigan. He was married twice that we know of Elnora Clymer & Mary Root, this all took place in Michigan as he moved there single. I was able to meet up with a Case relative that shared some info. with me. She is a town historian there, Carol Case Greene. We have found James' parents to be John Beeman & Catherine Schuyler (as close as we can figure) They all were from Chittenango/Sullivan area I guess.
