Hi researchers, What is the addresses to contact the Wampsville Co. Clerk's office and/or Madison Co., NY? Am seeking Dec. Intentions Vol. 1, 1853-1888 p. 11, Rowland Jones on April 25, 1854, from Great Britian in the Town of Eaton [naturalization]. Am trying to verify that the above Rowland JONES is the Rowland JONES [born about 1794 in Wales], m. Elizabeth EVANS [born about 1798] who emigrated in 1854 to New York and later to Trenton, Onedia Co., NY, with children: 1) Elizabeth JONES b. 2 May 1833, 2) John R. JONES b. April 1838, 3) Emma Susan HUGHES b. ca 1839, etc. MANY THANKS :) in advance, Jan Jordan in Vermont
Hi, Jan, I think the address of the County clerk would just be : Madison County Clerk, County Office Bldg., Wampsville NY. 13163. The Office Bldg is just across the street from the P.O. so I guess they would know where to send it. My wife has Jones relatives with names similar to the one you mentioned, but there are many Joneses with same names-- but you never know. Her great grandfather was Rowland A. Jones, but came into NYCity and went to Deerfield in Oneida Co. But some of them then went to Nelson in Madison Co. Would be interested in hearing more about your Joneses.
