Hi, Listers, The Madison County Historical Society will be featuring the Town of Smithfield in a historical exhibit probably to run for about a month. Opening day, Sunday Jan 30 will feature speakers such as Town Historian, Donna Burdick and others. If you are close enough to attend then or to visit later, I think you will find it really interesting. There's a lot of history in Smithfield and a lot going on now to preserve it and dig up more.
