More importantly, you made a connection for me - Sarah (Montgomery) Ward bought a piece of property and house in Otego in 1871 from Levi and Betsey Thayer. Until now, I did not know that Betsey was a Rowley. In checking census records, Levi and Betsey were both born in 1802, lived in Otego (Otsego) in 1860, Laurens (Otsego) in 1870, and Sullivan (Madison) in 1871 at the time of deed transfer. Betsey shows up in 1880 living with her son Artemas Thayer in Onondaga County in 1880 (Levi must have died). Rebecca was born between 1780 and 1790 so it's likely that Betsey was a sister, implying that Sarah bought the property from her aunt and uncle.
