Seeking burial place of Philetus BABCOCK, born 1830 Scott, Cortland County, New York, died 1895 Brookfield, Madison County, New York. He married Clarissa (Colvin) Babcock, who died after 1900 in Ceres, McKean County, Pennsylvania and is possibly NOT buried with Philetus. Philetus' sisters, Caroline Babcock and Mary A. (Babcock) Jordan, as well as Mary's husband, Samuel Jordan ARE buried in Brookfield Village Cemetery (#40), also known as Clarksville Cemetery, but I could not find Philetus there. Although I strongly feel he is there. After his death, Clarissa Babcock was taken to Ceres, NY/Penn., where she resided with Dr. Horace Place and her son Deville/Devillo Babcock and grandson, Leslie Babcock resided next door. I am searching desperately for his gravesite. Any suggestions would be helpful. Beverly Babcock Miller
