Thanks for the census info, the listing had info that conflicted with my info and as a result of further research, I found more information that is of interest. The info also told me I need to get a hold of the 1855 census to find John (he was 82 and prob. lived with a son or daughter); LDS does not have a copy and since I am in CA - I can not interloan from a NY library so if anyone knows a source where I can get a copy, please let me know.
