In my previous email, I asked for info on John Rickard from the 1855 census, I like to explain what I am looking for. John Rickert, 7/8/1773 to 8/5/1855, was my great, great, great grandfather and also a brick wall as far as research goes. Info on his origins has been very limited and somewhere along the way, I picked up something that led me to believe he was born in Herkimer County but perhaps I was wrong and the 1855 census gave another ancestor's location of birth as Washington County so I am hoping to do the same with John.
