Hi, Beth: My brother and sister in law attend the Church that sits surrounded by Fyler Cemetery. If you tell me exactly what names you are looking for, maybe they would take a look next Sunday. Also, I go to the Oakwood Cemetery quite often and if you let me know what stones you are interested in, I can photograph them for you. (I'd have to snail mail though, I'm not terribly computer literate and don't own a scanner)! Best Always, Carol
Carol, that sounds wonderful. thank you so much, snail mail is fine, just let me know how much for your film processing and I will gladly reimburse you for it and your time. I am so excited... let me get a list together. thank you thank you thank you! Carol, here is a list of people I know they are buried in the two cemeteries. If you run across any BEEMAN names I am interested. The family ties into CASE, SCHUYLER that I am interested in also, but didn't want to overwhelm you. So whatever you get is great. I am hoping to find Obituaries for these people too so if know where to go for them would be great too? Anyone else recognize names please let me know. I am in Michigan, and my great-great grandfather was a child of James & Caroline's being the only one that left New York. Hi, Beth: I don't want you to think I've forgotten you! We have had a very busy week getting our daughter ready for her trip to Spain (again)! Anyway, I took a quick trip to Fyler Cemetery and found 4 out of 8 that you listed. Adrew E. Babcock b. Feb 3, 1828 d. Apr 18, 1887; his wife, Charlotte M. b. Nov 1, 1826 ...nothing listed on the stone for death date. This stone is a pretty large steeple type stone very nicely kept. It is grey (marble, I think) and shiny. It is on the Church's right hand side as you face the Church and is located at the very end of the Church. John H. Beeman b. Aug 12, 1842 d. Oct 6, 1881; his wife, Kittie A. Fargo Beeman b. Apr 12, 1848 d. Sep 3, 1911 ( I notice that you have her death date as Aug 31, 1911. Maybe the stone is wrong and Sep 3 was the burial date??) John & Kittie's stone has been knocked over but it is a pretty large stone that is rectangular in shape and probably 3 feet long and 2 feet wide and was probably around 4 feet high when standing. It is located also on the right hand side of the Church as you face it and is one of the first ones next to the front of the Church. There is another base just to the right of their stone and the whole top of the stone (the part with the writing), is missing. It could very well be one of the others that you are looking for. I will definitely take another look as soon as I can and if I don't get the chance during the week (after work), I will go again on the weekend. Best Always, Carol P.S. I will take photos of all of them for you, too. I just wanted you to know that we are making some progress! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beth Comstock" <bethsroots@verizon.net> To: <NYMADISO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 29, 2005 11:33 AM Subject: Re: [NYMADISO] Fyler Cemetery / Beth > Carol, > > here is a list of people I know they are buried in the two cemeteries.
