Would any of this group happen to know where Corn Hill Cemetery might be/have been? I have data that says these folks died in Utica (I know that's not in Madison County) and were buried in Corn Hill Cemetery. To date I've not been able to locate that cemetery anyplace in the area. Since so many of you Madison County folk always seem to know about such things I decided I'd ask. If you can help I'll be most grateful. These people died between 1850 and 1860. Thanks. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
Hello Actually, back in college, I lived in the Cornhill section of Utica and lived across the street from "a" cemetery. It may very well have been what you are talking about. If my memory is right, the cemetery was located between Rutger and South St, and I lived on Taylor Ave, which ran perpendicular to the two. That cemetery was also bounded by Conkling Ave. If you go to http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ed=TJNIFep_0ToBpB.jggXDK5C7ejswUA--&csz=utica%2C+ny&country=us&new=1&name=&qty= hopefully it will bring up the area. This is the only cemetery I know in the Cornhill area. There may be a Catholic cemetery to the south.
