Tim This place sure brings back memories. Many years ago in the late 70's (and early 80's) it was a popular eating spot when one was on their way from Syracuse to Vernon Downs for the evening. Our Business Group ate at the "Squat & Gobble" many times and their Hot Turkey Sandwiches or Turkey dinners were A+ along with the rest of their menu. Even the name tells you the specialty of the restaurant so that was usually the choice of most in our group. Prices were reasonable and at that time their service was excellent. Besides with that good service one could always "Gobble" their dinner and make it to the "Downs" for the opening race and "Win" or "Lose" their money. Seems like "Lose" sticks out in my mind.
