Pat, Just curious (and probably grasping at straws--but it never hurts to ask), but did you ever see mention of a Carpenter family in the SDB records that you have researched? My g-grandfather, Alfred Madison Carpenter, was born in 1830 in Madison County, and I think there were Carpenters in DeRuyter, but I don't know if they were related. He was the 11th child and the only sibling's name I know was Roxyanna Carpenter Luther, who lived in Lebanon, NY. He is my brick wall, and I keep hoping I will stumble on something to give me clues to his parents. The SDB Church inDeRuyter was founded or organized Sept. 29 1806 and later reorganized in 1815. The Church was built in 1835. The first Pastor was Rev David Davis in 1806. In Nov. 1810 it was received as a Branch of the Berlin Church. So some records are in the records of the Berlin Church. Per the DeRuyter List of Members as Revised by Comittee appointed April 1892 is the following information. On pg 468 Rev. L A Wing was discharged to the Boulder Colorado Church on 9/16/1916 Mrs. L A Wing discharged 9/16/1916 Loretta Wind was discharged 3/16/1918 Robert Wing discharged on 7/22/1930 to White Cloud MI Richie Wing discharged on 7/12/1927 Jorce ?
