That is good news, Mary. I'm happy for you. I agree with your message. People can also register to be bone marrow donors for transplants for leukemia patients. That is a donation that does not have to wait until after the donor's death in order to save someone's life. And of course, we can become blood donors through the Red Cross--another valuable gift for those who receive it. We are lucky to be living in a century where this level of healthcare is available. Reading through personal papers of some ancestors, it is very clear that their healthcare options were often poor (by our present standards) at best.
