I've "rescued" an old photograph of Ida Mae PIERCE of East Smithfield, Pennsylvania which was taken at the Bailey & McCausland Normal School Gallery in Mansfield, PA. The photograph is dated "Class 1896" with Ida appearing to be in her teens at the time it was taken. In addition to her name and the date, someone has written "Wayside Inn" on the back of the photograph as well. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Ida Mae and her family: Ida PIERCE b. 26 Feb 1876 in Smithfield Township, PA to parents Walter PIERCE (b. 3 Oct 1834 in PA) and Lorancy T. CARPENTER (b. 5 Dec 1836 in Hamilton, NY). The couple had 4 children including, George W.; Stanley E.; Jesse; and Ida M. PIERCE all born in PA between 1860 and 1876. Ida married Ellsworth COEYMAN (b. abt 1874 in NJ) on 3 Oct 1903.
