Hello Patricia, This is off your topic, I believe you and I exchanged emails before, but I can not remember if I asked you if in your Jaquay family lore you ever heard that the Jaquay's, Jaqua's [various sp.] and Jacock, Jacox, Jaycox are all the same family root. Ostensibly the Jaycox name comes from family members being J's cooks, Knights cooks. They originated in France or Belgium I understand and emigrated to England, then to America. I can't tell for sure if they settled in Va. and moved up to N.Y. or visa versa. Just thought I'd run that past you.
