Re the question about what ever happened to the papers in the basement of the Madison County offices, I was in the Madison County Clerk's office for about a week in May 2009 and there was a nice gentleman there working on processing some papers that had been found in the basement.  It sounded like a long slow process, but they seemed determined to get through it all, and he certainly was working hard at it while I was there.  Mary Hunt E-mail:   muvsgenealogy@comcast.net
