    3. we go to get our son! In less than 24 hours we depart on our trip to Taiwan. He is now 8 years old, having had his birthday on January 4th. His given name at birth is Yu-Hsuan (U-Swan). We'll be adding Samuel to this name. I'll go to work Thursday morning and our daughter will be at school to give my wife time to do last minute packing. Our daughter, 10, will be going with us. She is excited to get a brother and keeps telling folks we are going to China. No dear, not China, Taiwan. We leave Atlanta later Thursday afternoon. We arrive in Taiwan Saturday evening, Chattanooga time, after a multi hour layover in Seattle. In Taipei, we'll take the bullet train south to Tainan where the orphanage is. Our son lives in a foster home some distance from the orphanage in the foothills of the central mountain range. After Gotcha Day, we'll take the bullet train north to Taipei to do the American side of the process which extends over two days and a weekend.
