The MCHS will not take the books due to storage room and etc. Understandable. They would like it if I sent just the pages that inscribed. The inscriptions are too faded to copy well and I'll not remove them from the books. Having done genealogy for so long, the thought of destroying the books is not an option. So unless there is some one that collects old editions, I'll hang onto them. I'm not interested in selling them really free to a good home. Pat
Perhaps the info could be transcribed, and a typed copies forwarded to MCHS and other appropriate repositories. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patricia Jaquay" <hjaquay@twcny.rr.com> To: <Genisis87@sprintmail.com>; <nymadiso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 15, 2010 8:19 AM Subject: Re: [NYMADISO] Bibles > The MCHS will not take the books due to storage room and etc. > Understandable. They can also be put on a CD and given that way. I used both methods in Jordan NY with Church records they have. Anything that saves wear and tear on the original books. I would put some contact information with documents for anything you give the M.C.H.S. Rick Porter Finger Lakes House Histories
