Go to google, Mary Walrath Fink and look at the first one that comes up.  Don't think it says where they are buried but some dates are different.....  I am no relation to this family.  Dorothy --- On Sun, 12/27/09, cbain44@twcny.rr.com <cbain44@twcny.rr.com> wrote: From: cbain44@twcny.rr.com <cbain44@twcny.rr.com> Subject: [NYMADISO] Johann Christian Fink and Mary "Polly" Walrath Fink To: nyononda@rootsweb.com, nymadiso@rootsweb.com Date: Sunday, December 27, 2009, 12:34 PM Trying to find the burial place of Christian Fink d. 3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Donna Burdick To: Charles Page Sent: Thursday, December 17, 2009 12:18 PM Subject: Holsteins and More Chas - perhaps you might know of people who would be interested in attending this event (see below). Wish it wan't in the winter, because I'm not sure that I'll make it up to Madison County. Donna Central New York Dairy History A Call for Your Stories! Central New York was once the premier dairy region of the nation, especially for Holsteins. Gerrit Smith Miller of Peterboro, Madison County, kept the oldest purebred Holstein herd in the United States from 1869 to 1937. Many other notable dairymen called Central New York at one time, pioneers such as Frank Hoard of Hoard's Dairyman, Solomon Hoxie of the Advanced Registry system, Stephen Moulton Babcock of the Babcock test system, and Gail Borden of Borden's Condensed Milk. As a way to honor Central New York's dairy legacy, we invite you to consider recovering your own family stories and that of other important dairy farms in the area. Though the focus of our on-going volunteer efforts will be on documenting the history of farm families that had Holstein herds in Central New York, all breed enthusiasts and others with stories about dairy farming are welcome. Please join us for an informal gathering at 7:30 P.M., Tuesday evening, February 23rd, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County. Dr. Milt Sernett, professor emeritus of Syracuse University and a volunteer with the Smithfield Community Association, will present an image-rich history of Gerrit Smith Miller and his historic Kriemhild Herd of Peterboro. Discussions follow. 3. Merry Christmas, Listers, MCHS reminds us that local Madison County books make fine Christmas gifts. (I have no financial interest in this announcement. 100% of all money they receive from sale of my "Family Stories" book goes to MCHS as a fund raiser. Likewise with our "Guide to Madison County Cemeteries". They also have for sale several other quite new books about Madison County for sale. Most of them sell for around $20. Some can be purchased at Dougherty's Pharmacy, Morrisville; Black Cat Antiques and Jewett's Cheese House, Earlville. Proceeds from those, also, go to MCHS. Contact MCHS for details at history@mchs1900.org Seems list has been quiet lately. Any news, anyone?? Of course, everybody is busy with coming Holidays. Chas

    3. In my listing of "Town of Madison People" which gathered from my grandmother's diaries, Doctor Beebe came to the house "looking for Tinker Hollow". That was on April 5, 1910 Another notation: July 25,1916 "Linn Beebe came". Didn't say why. I don't think it was a prfessional call, Probably just to visit or buy butter or some other produce. She and a son are just starting to look up the family history, and are visiting Oneida (from Ithaca) soon. She was asking for suggestions of where to visit for information while here.I gave her my suggestions. No doubt she would be interested to hear from anyone who knew her mother's family. I didn't know Mary, or the family. You could answer her directly at dc58@Cornell.edu Thanks. chas
