Yes, you are right. Manatees are mammals, related to elephants. Extremely docile animals. They grow up to 10 ft long and weight about half a ton or more. Here in Florida on the West coast it is a brisk 45 degrees out. Not surfing weather that's for sure. But I do think the water might be warmer than the air. The Manatees are starting to look for warmer water tho. This is the time of year you might see some near the nuke plants or some come up the canals a bit. They are a very exotic mammal. I'm finally home from the hospital. Had a kidney transplant in Nov.but it hasn't been all we hoped for. I've been in twice since then. Trying to find the burial place of Christian Fink d. March 1832 and his wife, Polly (Walrath) Fink d. 1904 Being that they died so far apart, they may not be buried together. I'm thinking maybe Manlius (Onondaga County) or Chittenango (Madison County). Thank you for any help you may be able to give, Carol Bain
