    3. But at least our cold doesn't last all winter long--it only lasts a few days, and then the temperature goes back up, and also, we don't have to shovel it.  I actually look forward to cool evenings as I can get my hubby to build a fire in the fireplace.   Dorothy in Gainesville, FL --- On Wed, 12/30/09, PMcSwain <PMcSwain@tampabay.rr.com> wrote: From: PMcSwain <PMcSwain@tampabay.rr.com> Subject: Re: [NYMADISO] Weather in Ontario To: nymadiso@rootsweb.com Date: Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 8:09 PM It got up to 75 today- but Yuck- down again this weekend in the 30's- hate cold- LOL- Peggy- in Fl. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ruth Burkholder" <ruth.burk@sympatico.ca> To: <nymadiso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 30, 2009 9:24 AM Subject: [NYMADISO] Weather in Ontario >I live in Stouffville, just to the north of Toronto ... at the moment [9:20 > am] it is -7C or 19.4F with a bright clear blue sky and very little wind. > A > beautiful day to go for a walk or to take the kids tobogganing! > > Ruth > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > NYMADISO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYMADISO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    2. In response to the request for info about someone who is enjoying sunny, at least warmer, weather - Christmas Day was in the 70s here in southern California and it is in the mid to high 60s today - and sunny. I can still see a little snow atop Mt. Baldy (about 20 miles to the east of us) from my backyard - in between the rose bushes (still blooming) and citrus trees (loaded with lemons, oranges and grapefruit) on which t he fruit is ripening.. 3. I'm in Northern Cal here - Gold Country in Sierra foothills about 20 miles from Sutter's Mill, at about 3000 ft elevation. It was 30 degrees when I got up this morning and shot up to 40 after sun came up. Then overcast and sprinkling all afternoon. More rain due off and on all week but moderate temps - 40's in daytime and 30 at night. May get dusting of snow but won't last long. I grew up in Florida. We all moved west to escape the humidity. 3. We moved from Candor to Mesa, AZ for a year then we lived in Portland, Or. for about 40 years. There were times we had ice storm's and power would be out for a few weeks. But then that was once in a blue moon. Usually winter was over by the end of January or the middle of February and it was time to think about putting in the garden. I do miss the not so long winters but Candor is home and I am glad to be here in spite of the nasty weather.
