    3. the Ellis name is not in my family but I thought this might be of interest to anyone who has Lydia Ellis of Cazenovia, in their line Madison County Land Record Vol 95 pg 275 April 7 1863 tells where Lydia Ellis sells land to Benjamin hatch. In the body of the paper is mention that Lydia Ellis was abandoned by her husband, Oscar A. 3. Hello to all Well... it's about 5:30pm where I am - which makes it about 3:30am in central New York... and I'm bushed after about a 40 hour trip from Syracuse to Launceston, Tasmania. The 'trip home' was pretty good and I do have some new information, which I will "get to" in the near future - but not tonight - we are worn to a fair-the-well... I have the complete list of burials at the Madison Village Cemetery and will be glad to look things up until I can get it online. Wifey also took about... I dunno... a zillion pictures while we were there, and I will work on the Madison Center Cemetery asbestos I can. The 'Center' cemetery, unfotunately, will be incomplete, as many of the stones have tipped over or are possibly buried under the dirt - I may have 60% or so of the cemetery and the town clerk says she doesn't know of another earlier list so this may be as good as it gets for awhile... Well... I think I will go collapse now... wake me in about 3 or 4 days... John

    3. Sandy, If you can go on the net and look for funeral parlors in that area and hopefully there are to many you might contact them ( some have e-mail addresses that you can write directly to from the net) and ask them if they might have your relative listed in their records. They often will do a look up for free if you have the name and at least a idea of when they died. They will even send you a copy of their info. Joan Beebe Meddaugh

    3. The Catholic church is the caretakers of the Catholic Cemetery of St. Joseph's Church in Hamilton but I have call them twice as I have relatives buried there, some have stones and some don't. The woman at the time did not want to help me. I was willing to send them a donation too. So if someone knows of a way to get records on people who are buried there that have no stones ( all I want is a death date after 1930's no one can remember.) Thank you Sandy
