    3. Hi Tim and All Interesting name; Elim... I found some Benedicts, through usgennet @ http://www.usgennet.org/usa/topic/colonial/census/1840/1840ny_b.html but there is no Elim. I've heard of Elam, as a given name. If, by chance, this Elim may have been Elam, as well, this might be worth a look - I don't know: http://www.connecticutbarns.org/6192?highlight=danbury Hope you are all well John

    3. Hello Ann, I don't have an Asa White in my collection. However, I have not photographed all of any cemetery. I have parts of Brookfield, Graham and Stockwell cemeteries. If you want to know about the main Brookfield Cemetery I'd call the phone number below. I have found them most helpful. If you are looking in Graham Cemetery, they have limitations. All their early records are gone. The only record is the tombstone itself. That is why I started photographing the stones. It is a slow process and we are working on it bit by bit. Since I live in Ohio and travel back there when I can, it will take awhile to get all of the stones. Good Luck with your search. 3. You have probably already accessed it - but the War of 1812 section of the Ancestry Military records has several Benedicts - among them Eland - 29th Regiment, Connecticut and Eli S. with Consolidated Regiment. I found my War of 1812 ancestor in the Military Minutes for the War of 1812. 2. Jo Dee - I wonder if you ever ran across TALITHA or EMERSON CARTER in that Cemetary. They may have been buried in Pine Plains in North Manlius tho. Talitha died in 1901. EMERSON CARTER was born about 1823 and TALITHA was born about 1825. I have nothing back further than that. If anyone reading this has more info on that family I would appreciate it. I do know that Talitha's parents were both born in Mass. but do not know her maiden name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dorothy **************Gas prices getting you down? 1. [NYMADISO] E. Lemuel Benedict, b. 1796 Pompey, NY?
    2. Deborah Zorach
    3. Another possible spelling? According to Family Search, he was the son of Jonathan Benedict and Huldah Seelye. He would have been 16 in 1812. Debbie

    3. Maybe the name was Elwyn instead of Elim or Elam? The author of the two (or three?) volume Benedict genealogy is Elwyn Benedict so perhaps Elwyn is family given name. He lives in the Manlius area, I think. Not sure he is actively researching. 3. I've a request from a museum seeking information on a War of 1812 soldier. They believe he was from central New York and are seeking further information regarding him. The soldier's name was Elim Benedict. Since this surname seems to show up in Chenango and Madison counties as well as Onandaga, I'm guessing it shows up in Cortland as well. Does anyone have further info on this person? I have found a Elicum Benedict in Coventry, Chenango in the 1810 census which makes me wonder if that's him. In scouting around the Internet tonight I've not found any good listing of War of 1812 soldiers other than Dan's site which has a couple of companies, but not this name included. 3. Thank you so much for the obit about Louetta. These are my relatives. Actually Frank Spooner the son of Francie Hills and Hank Spooner are the correct ones. His first wife was Demmi or Denni Brown. Do you have any obits about his first wife or him? Do you have any obits about Chloe and James Hills, their children Lucy Hills White (Daniel) was her husband Hank/Henry Spooner and wife Francie Hills Spooner, Sarah Hills and her husband George Woodworth and their children a daughter Minnie Myrtle and a son who died years later but don't know when. Eudocia Hills first husband was George Tuttle I think, then George K Knapp, and James Fordyance Hickox. They mainly lived in the Brookfield and surrounding towns. Sister Ellen Amelia lived in Candor with her husband Hiram Beebe he died in Candor in 1906 and is buried in Brookfield, she died in Candor in 1928 and is buried in Candor.
