I may have responded then. I haven't had a computer in a few years, but I get get back into things now. Nellie Blanche Chittenden was my great grandmother. I don't know when she was born, but she died 17 October 1928. She was married to William Conklyn Duryea, b. 21 May 1866, d. 1931. They are both buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakland, New York. Nellie's parents were Darwin Chittenden and Mary Walker. Darwin was a school teacher and a singing school teacher around the area. William's parents were George Monroe Duryea and Esther Cranston. There is a farm up the road from the Oak Hill Cemetery that has the name Cranston painted on it. I don't know if that is the same family or not. I just discovered it when we buried my father. William and Nellie's children were: 1. William Harrisson b. 1886? d. ae. 16 -1902? of Rhuematic fever. 2.Hazel Esther m. Ben Burgess m. William Patrick Reynolds. 3.Clayton Conklyn b.1896 d.1937 m.Eva Thatcher b.1902 d.1960. 4.Blanche Arleen m. Elisha Stout 5.Edna Onile b. 04 April 1901 d. 16 October 1987 m. Roy Carlson. 6.Olive Althea M. Melvin Downs. 7.Edward Howard Max b.21 July 1904 Mount Morris Township, New York d. 26 April 1983 m. Kathryn Ruth Cobb b.24 September 1915 d.14? February 1994. Ed was my grandfather. Both buried at Oak Hill Cemetery. 8.Mary Levita d. at 22 months -choked on a potato. There is a cemetery on the Nunda-Dalton road that has many of our Chittendens buried in it. I haven't been able to find it in my few short tries. Mom says it is way back accross a field on the edge of the woods and isn't tended any more. Hopefully, I will be able to go hunting for it sometime soon. I hope this information helps you. Michelle
