Could anyone tell me the exact location of what was Root's Corner on the Leicester Rd. between York and Leicester where Roswell Root converted an old brick schoolhouse into a dwelling. Would that brick building still be in existence? Also, What would be the Alvin Reed Road that ran north from York Center to the river and to the cemetery on the Ramsdell Road through the Stocking Farm? I downloaded a map of York from www.rootsweb.com/~nyliving/town/map/york.jpg but can't identify these roads. Thanks for any information. Dorothy [email protected]
