I had always assumed McKay was Minnies maiden name since, on my mothers original birth certificate, she was listed as illegitimate. also Minnies name on the certificate is listed as Mary but on the release for adoption papers she is listed as Minnie. I am so excited to have this information but don't know where to go from here. Thank you so much.
