They came from Ireland. There is a Joseph EDGAR, Alexander EDGAR, Thomas EDGAR and I believe a Sarah, they are on the 1850 census. More EDGAR's arrived later to be included in the 1860 census. All came to live in the same townships and all from Ireland. My - William EDGAR - is the brother of Joseph EDGAR. Joseph and his wife were witnesses at William and Hannah Walker's wedding in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. Thanks for any help. Sandy
