Curious if anyone has information on this man. All information is from his Civil War service record. His name is Charles L. Madison born in Portage, New York. he is listed as being 40 years old and 1month on September 1864 when he enlisted in the army. He initially enlisted in co. G. 160th NY but was transferred in a few days to co. F. 189th New York. He enlisted in Hornellsville in Steuben county. Any info on a wife or parents or family in general, or If he shows up in the census in Livingston or Steuben would be appreciated.
