Hi,I would appreciate any clues on these families: KELLY Edward & Mary (Mahar) Kelly Edward b. Ireland ca. 1820; Mary b. Ireland ca. 1833. Immigration & marriage dates unknown; in the 1860 census they are listed in Geneseo, Livingston Co. Edward died before 1868; Mary's second husband was John Cronan (see below) Edward & Mary's children -- Elizabeth, b. NY ca. 1857; married Daniel Robinson at an unknown date & location Ellen, b. Jan. 20, 1857 in Livingston Co. (my gg/grandmother) James, b. ca. 1858; not listed with mother & stepfather in 1870 census Edward, b. ca. 1861, later lived in LeRoy. CRONAN John Cronan b. Ireland ca. 1830. First wife Ellen b. Ireland ca. 1832. In 1860 census they are listed in Groveland, Livingston Co.; no children. John & Ellen's children -- Johanna, b. ca. 1860; in 1880 there is a Johanna Cronan living with & working for Dr. H. M. Dayfoot & family; no further info. Ellen, b. ca. 1862; no further info. John, b. ca. 1863; no further info. Patrick, b. ca. 1866; no further info. John's wife Ellen died before 1868; John's second wife was Mary Mahar Kelly (see above) John & Mary's child: Cornelius J. Cronan, b. ca. 1868. I believe this to be the same person who later became a Catholic priest. Fr. Cornelius Cronan died May, 1930. John Cronan died between August 1874 & January of 1875. Sons John & Cornelius, and daughter Ellen, are mentioned in his will. There is no mention of Johanna or of Patrick. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 24, 2004 8:21 PM Subject: Re: [NYLIVINGSTON] IRISH > most of the kelly information are those that came from ireland during the > famine got any other names that married into the kelly family i do > have 4 > pages of kellys but most were after 1847. my st. patricks records start > around 1850 > > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
