Wisner and Angeline Young Wisner. We've been unable to find who C.D.'s parents are. His brother is Thomas Wisner whose mother was Tamsin Young (or Youngs) Wisner. Said to have been born "at an old war camp at Mt. Morris, New York." Later moved to Michigan, Nebraska, and finally to Oregon. Married Mary Hass (so spelled) in Michigan.

We were there two years ago and visited the village and church. He could have had brothers/sisters who came over with him to NYS and/or stayed in England. The name William comes up two or three times in later generations so it is very possible that they were cousins/brothers. My Thomas's son was Daniel - my ggrandfather and he had a son William 1888 and they named their children after other family members. Do you know anything else about your William before settled in NYS? I don't recognize any of the names you gave me, but that doesn't mean we aren't related, just means we have more work to do. Keep in touch.

In Lima, NY there is a Michigan Ave that got its name because so many of the people who lived on this road moved to Michigan. Quite likely this is where your Eli Foote lived. This same thing occured in most Livingston County NY towns. They all have Michigan streets. I grew up in Lima. Regards, Doug Morgan Livingston County Historical Society FOOTE, Eli was listed in Foote family history as a Colonel in the 19th Regiment , New York Militia about 1840. He was b May 7, 1797 in Bozrah, CT, & lived in Lima, Livingston Co., NY between 1831 & 1845 and then moved to Michigan.

He died on 21 Apr 1878 (according to the McCALLION Cemetery Records by Andrew Burdett) Specifically, I have gathered from census records that his wife's name was either Amy or Anna (it differed between records, but the age worked out the same, so I believe it to be the same woman) but I don't know which, and I have no idea what her surname was.

He was born in 1855. The Dennis and Company Bottling Works ran in Mt. Morris from circa 1890 to at least 1910 (this I know from family photos). They bottled soda, beer, and Saratoga water. At some point after 1910, it became the Mt. Morris Bottling Works. Feel free to contact me if I can be of more help. I am researching the Dennis family line, and would be interested in any information you might have, as well.
