Surnames: Howard, Smith, Milliman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iRB.2ACE/2733 Message Board Post: I'm looking for the parents and siblings of Hartson Howard. Hartson was born Jan 24 1807 in Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., NY. He died Oct 2, 1884 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL. He is buried in Climax, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He moved with his family into Leicester Twp., Livingston Co., NY and is enumerated there in several census's. The 1880 Census gives his place of birth as NY, father's birth place as Conn. and mother's place of birth as R. I. Hartson and Marane had 4 daughters. I only know for sure the names of 3, Josephine, Harriet, and Julia E. The 4th is possibly Eliza. It doesn't appear that Harriet ever married as she is living with her parents at age 41 in the 1880 census. I know nothing more about Josephine. I don't know why they went to Chicago so late in life, possibly one of their daughters was there? The information I have for him comes from a bio. of his son in law, John R. Milliman who married Hartson's daughter, Julia E. John and Julia moved to Climax, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. It also comes various census records and other family information. I'd love to hear from anyone with possible ties to this Howard family.
