There SHOULD be a copy at the County Historian's. I have one from earlier than 1896, but getting them to look for it was like pulling teeth!! Of course, that was a few years ago, so HOPEFULLY things have changed since then!! Does the book of records before 1896 exist in the County Clerk's Office ? Or are there copies anywhere else ?

In the early 1800's there was a Robert Hollister living in Avon, Livingston Co., NY. He may have had a daughter named Amelia and a son named Andrew. He later moved to Cattaraugus Co., NY. Looking for any information on this Robert Hollister.
According to the 1860 NYS Gazetteer by French, Minden is in Montgomery County. --- vicki powers <[email protected]> wrote: > I know that Beyersville was most definately in > Livingston County, but not > sure about Minden. Not sure if your aware there are several Livingston Co. History Books (and articles in old magazines) on line at the Making of America site. They cover about 181- to the 1920s. Digitized in their original form, including the ones below. Actually Cornell has a lot of Livingston County material on line, including Livingston County Historical Society's history of the treaty of Big Tree. Just type in "Livingston County" There are a lot of hits. She died 1 May 1872 in North Dansville. Q1: Where in North Dansville was she buried? Q2: Do you have information on Catherine's parents? Tintypes of Nicholas Schlick & Catherine Gunther Schlick were taken between 1860 and 1870 by photographer William S. Knowlton of Baltimore, MD. They are about three inches wide and 5 inches long. Long ago, a family member (now deceased) had the tintypes copied onto photographic paper; these copies were given to family. All I have are poor xerox copies (see attached). Q3: Do you know who might have these tintypes? Thanks for letting me know, Stephanie Schlick
