    2. Randy Hume
    3. I seem to remember someone on the list being related to the MARSH family in Mt. Morris. I was looking for Elnathan MARSH in Livonia, and we never found a connection. But... I found a booklet by Marian Piper Willey of Castile that contains much information about William Marsh, (1808-1886) b. Downsay, d in Nunda, m. Caroline Smith, 4 ch. and John Marsh, (1813-1871) b. at west Holme, Eng., and d. at Mt. Morris, N.Y., m. Sarah Cotten, 2 ch. If these names ring a bell, let me know and I can send you a copy. 1. SHULTS or SCHULTS Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Clyde E. SHULTS of Wayland, New York which was taken at the Merrell Studio in Geneseo, NY. The photograph was probably taken in 1894 as that date and the initials G.S.N.S. appear on the back of the photograph. I'm thinking that is probably a school graduation photograph as Clyde appears to be in his late teens at the time. Based on limited research I believe this may be a photograph of Clyde SCHULTS the son of Alonzo J. & Gertrude SCHULTS who were living in Wayland, NY during the 1880 census. At that time Clyde was 4 years of age living with his parents, Alonzo J. age 41 and Gertrude age 33 all list there birth location as NY. Clyde had a brother Ira J. SCHULTS age 10 living with the family and Clyde's Grandmother Jane BUSH age 54 also at home with the family. To others living in the household were Edward WILGUS age 21, and William CURTIS age 73 with no relation to the SCHULTS family noted. Recovered along with this photograph was a photo of Louie ROWE also of Wayland, NY. That photograph includes the same date and initials. Don't know if the two young men are related but I mention it just in case there is a connection. I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this photograph can be returned to the family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I'm assuming that the initials reference a school which he attended and that this is possibly a graduation photograph since he appears to be in his late teens or early 20's at the time. I'm hoping to locate someone from this ROWE Family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. 1. Locations
    2. Could anyone tell me the exact location of what was Root's Corner on the Leicester Rd. between York and Leicester where Roswell Root converted an old brick schoolhouse into a dwelling. Would that brick building still be in existence? Also, What would be the Alvin Reed Road that ran north from York Center to the river and to the cemetery on the Ramsdell Road through the Stocking Farm? I downloaded a map of York from www.rootsweb.com/~nyliving/town/map/york.jpg but can't identify these roads. Thanks for any information. Dorothy [email protected]
