Hello Listers, I am a new member to your list and would like to ask for some advice please? I am not to sure which mailing list I should be on! My gt gt aunt, Priscilla BUDGE, died in 1859, her husband Reverend Henry Budge was charged then acquitted of her murder. (The Greig Affair - 1859 Tragedy) I would like to know how I go about obtaining a death certificate for Priscilla. I am also very interested in finding out what became of Henry and the six children (Henry jnr - Priscilla jnr - Eddy (Edward) - Charles - Mary and Jennie) Any help would be truly appreciated, no matter how small. Many thanks and best wishes Heather
Hi Heather, Henry Budge and children are still in Greig for the 1860 census. Series M653 Roll 777 page 373. He is in the index as Henry Bridge. I didn't find him in 1870. NY did not keep vital records early enough for you to obtain a death certificate for Priscilla but surely there were would be a coroner's inquest for her death.
