Hello Fellow Listers T. B. Basselin (Theodore) - Theodore Basselin was a manufacturer of lumber, lath, beading and broom handles. He had 15,000 acres of land. He was B in France in 1851 the son of Dominick Basselin (who died in 1851) and his wife Anna Pierson Basselin whom he married in 1849. Theodore Basselin was the owner of a Grist Mill in Croghan. Their burials are in the Basselin Cemetery on Main St. in Croghan NY. He was born in New Bremen on October 3, 1855 the son of Christian and Lana Farney of New Bremen New York. He settled in Croghan in 1880. He was Born in Lowville, New York Dec. 14, 1809, a son of Job Snell (Died Martinsburg NY) a native of Rhode Island born on Sept 28, 1782 to Job Snell Sr..He settled in Croghan in 1833 commenced surveying with the Hon. Nelson J Beach about 1833. He had been coroner, town clerk and justice. He married Sagy daughter of Issac Dean on Aug. 18, 1833. They had 3 children: May Elizabeth, Norton J. and Sidney S.
