I'm trying to find the following families: John Zimmer and his family immigrated to Mohawk Hill,NY from Baden, Germany in 1829 possibly along with the Guenther family that his daughter had married into. I do not have any dates on John nor do I know who his wife is. All I know is that he had at least three children: 1) Elizabeth Catherine b. 1793 & married to Peter Guenther. (my line) 2) John Zimmer. It is unknown who he married, but he is rumored to have had 6 boys all named John. One of the boys was John Peter b. 1835 in Booneville, Lewis Co., NY and died in 1915 in OH. 3) Unknown daughter Zimmer. Possible married a Mr. Baker. The other family that I am searching for is the family of Matthew & Elizabeth Morgan. Elizabeth was born 1788 and died 1861. I do not know how long the family may have been in NY. Their daughter, Cordelia, was married to Peter Guenther 27 July 1836 in Mohawk Hill, NY. Their children are: 1) Cordelia 2) Philip (1816-1857) 3) Adam 4) Mary 5) Catherine 6) Barbara Ann B. 1822 Thanks, Tina Hursh ribbit@clubnet.isl.net
