Hello Ken My mother who this month is age (not to be mentioned in public but way up there) was a patient of Dr Gerard. She also worked for the Lewis County NY Historical Office and he was a descendant of the Gerard Family of Lewis County. I do not have the facts as this is not my family. But have you checked the Obits of the Lewis County Journal & Republic for his Death? I am sure you would find his parents listed, his history and etc there. Warm Regards Pat Regan
