On November 20, 2001, I sent the message below to this list. From the query, I believe, a very kind soul responded, privately, with the suggestion that I contact a woman named "Barbara?" and sent me her email address. Right at Christmas, my hard drive crashed just as I was backing up my data (must have been ESP). Consequently, I lost all of my email including my correspondence with Barbara (?). Would the kind soul please write to me again? Thank you. > Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 10:27:34 -0800 > From: Carlyn Patton Miller <carlyn@fix.net> > To: NYLEWIS-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [NYLEWIS] Copenhagen Research (PATTEN) > > Does anyone know the name and address of the town clerk, the town historian, > or someone to do a bit of sleuthing in Copenhagen (or Lowville), New York? > I am trying to find a death record for my ancestor, Catherine (HAWN) > PATTEN/PETTEN.
