There are a couple of good Civil War Sites I've been using: "www.civil-war.net" is a general site with lots of links, one of which is www.itd.nps.gov.cwss which is the National Park Service Civil War Soldiers System site. I went into this and searched and found Eugene Gerard, 14th NY Heavy Artillery, Company "F". Film # M551 Roll 52. Hope this gets you to where you want to go! I am particularly interested in tracking down an ancestor who may have enlisted in Wisconsin and/or Lewis County, possibly Lowville. The individual's name is Antoine Eugene Gerard. His name sometimes appears as Anton alone or Eugene and on his gravestone the name may be written Gerrard rather than Gerard. He was born in France, circa 1825.
